By the time this newsletter reaches you, for many of you, your riding season will be drawing to a
close. After your season is over, you should make special notes in your diary. For example, did your
performance improve? What ride did you enjoy the most? Did you meet your goals you set for yourself
this past year?
If you didn't do as well as you expected, don't be too hard on yourself. You still accomplished 90%
more than most of your friends just by riding your bike. Look at your deficiencies as small setbacks
and charge at them next season. Your improvements will be awesome next year.
But don't hang up your bike yet. Autumn is a fantastic time of year to ride a bike. The color,
temperature and lack of insects is fabulous and your fitness is super. And the longer you stay on the
bike, the easier it is to stay in shape all winter. So look for those Fall centuries and enjoy your
fitness.
See ya on the road.
