We invite people to submit articles for publication at this website on a range of topics related to
cycling. We encourage members to contribute. This site is primarily intended for the Cascades
Cycling Club and its members, but we welcome other contributors.
In the past we've included articles about rides club members have participated in and cycling-related
news of club members or friends. We all benefit by the opportunity to read news or accounts or commentary
that would be interesting to visitors
to this site. If you have something you think people would like to read, share it with us.
We do not have specific guidelines for article lenghth. Try to keep it reasonable is probably a
good guideline (150 - 800 words). For short news items, word count probably isn't an issue.
Article Delivery You may submit articles by email, regular mail or other delivery. Email is preferred. Send them to
cascadescyclingweb@sbcglobal.net. When delivery is
other than email, transmission on electronic media is highly favored. The easier it is for us to incorporate
your article into our website, the faster we can publish it. You may also contribute pictures.
The same principles apply as for written submissions. Digital images are much preferred in
standard graphic formats.
Your contact info If you send us material to include in either our online news pages or the
newsletter we mail to our members through regular mail, make certain to include your contact info.
Notes All submissions become the property of the Cascades Cycling Club. We reserve the right to edit for
spelling, punctuation, etc. We may also make minor edits, where necessary, for the sake of clarity
or understanding. Content and language should be suitable for a general audience and we reserve the
right to edit or reject articles on that basis. We also reserve the right to refuse publication of
any material submitted, in whole or in part, for any reason.
Articles or pictures submitted, that are accepted for online publication at this website, will
be published on the pages of this website. At some date after initial publication, articles may no longer
be displayed as a feature article and then may be archived in such a way that site visitors will still
have access to submitted material.
Unless prior agreement is made, which allows for exceptions to the above, by submitting material for
online publication, you agree to all of the above conditions.
